I gave my heart to Jesus just before my 13th birthday, not realizing what an amazing adventure it would be! It has taken me from coast to coast and through valleys and victories. I'm currently a busy, creative home-schooling mom to Isaac and Naomi, wife to Jack, and an enthusiastic member of the CFM team.
Originally born in New Haven, Connecticut, relocated to St. Albans, VT with my Lori Pornelos-King. We have attended COTR and raised our five children here since moving from Hawaii in 1992. We have been involved with many of the church ministries over the years including Royal Rangers, Men’s ministry and Mops and I am currently serving on the Elder board. I presently work as a register nurse at Northwestern Medical Center in the Emergency Department.
Lee Pfanstiel grew up in St. Albans, Vermont, graduated from Bellows Free Academy and served three years in the U.S. Army before settling in a career as a residential building contractor. Lee met his wife, Diane at the Church of the Rock. They were married in 1989, blended a family of four children and now have four grandchildren. Together, they have a heart for foreign missions and disaster relief and have been on numerous mission trips to Central and South America.
Taylor Yates, Jr MD FAAP took his BA from the University of Va and MD from the Medical College of Va. He married Marsha A Wells in Philadelphia where he completed his pediatric residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. He served 2 years in the US Navy before working with his father in Alexandria, Va for 2 years. They came to St Albans in 1976 and have run a pediatric since that time.
Martita Giard was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in New Hampshire. She attended and graduated from Champlain College and moved to Vermont in 1984. She lives with her husband Rich in Fairfield and presently works at OneCare Vermont/University of Vermont Medical Center. Martita joined Church of the Rock in 2005 and has been involved in several ministries including Music Ministry, Finance Committee, Missions, and Board of Elders. Her passions are music, horseback riding, scuba diving and other water sports. She loves sharing her walk with the Lord with others and making personal connections with people.
