Local Benevolent Organizations | St. Albans

Various organizations

There are several local organizations that are doing good in our community that COTR supports through various means. They work with the homeless population, people experiencing crises, and those recovering from addiction. Part of our Christian witness is to show kindness to our neighbors and these organizations are one of the means through which we do that. The organizations include:

- Age Well - Franklin County provider of Meals on Wheels and other services for seniors. COTR serves as the pick-up location for St. Albans.
- Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity (CVOEO) provides for basic needs in times of crisis and skills development.
Laurie's House/Voices Against Violence (affiliated with CVOEO) provides emergency shelter for survivors fleeing violence.
Martha's Community Kitchen provides community meals.
Samaritan House provides emergency shelter and other services to the homeless population.
Turning Point provides addiction recovery services and support.

Pray for encouragement for those who are serving. Pray for material provision and encouragement for those who are dealing with homelessness, crisis, or addiction.

Opportunities: See the organizations' websites for many ways to be involved.
