Pastor Michael Oldham grew up in Foxboro Massachusetts and moved to Vermont in 1985. He received his education at Global university -Berean School of the Bible and has been credentialed with the Assemblies of God since 1992. His continuing education is through Northpoint Bible College in Haverhill MA.
He stepped into full time ministry in 2007, as the Youth and Young Adult pastor here at Church of the Rock. Pastor Mike, received his ordination in 2012. In 2014, he accepted the call to the Lead pastor position at Assembly of God Christian center, Vergennes VT.
He returns to Church of the Rock, his home church, as Lead Pastor. Pastor Mike married his high school sweetheart Lisa, September 12, 1987. They have four wonderful children who are successes in their own right, and have blessed their parents with three grandsons and two granddaughters.
When not pastoring his community of believers, PM enjoys hiking, fishing, a good book, playing guitar and simply being with his wife.
Rachel graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor's degree in Developmental Psychology. She started working at Church of the Rock in April 2015 and is excited to see what God has planned for her time here. She is currently the Northwestern Sectional Rep for the AG Northern New England District and has been serving on the team since the fall of 2019.
Outside of the church walls, you will most likely find her either hiking, biking, running, or paddle boarding. She loves discovering how God reveals Himself in His creation.
Lynne grew up here in Franklin County Vermont. She had an encounter with Jesus 16 years ago that completely transformed her life. To quote from the movie The Chosen “I was one way.. and now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was Him.” Through the years she has become passionate about serving the children and families of our area and helping to encourage and empower them in their relationship with Jesus. She has been in leadership positions within the church body since 2006. She was co-coordinator of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program for 3 years as well as serving in other areas of leadership in the group. She is currently, the Children’s Ministry Director. In her spare time Lynne enjoys, horseback riding, running, watching hockey, reading, and loves broadway musicals. She resides in Swanton, with her husband, Josh, 3 amazing daughters, 2 dogs, horse, and many chickens.
Laura grew up in Church of the Rock. When she was a young adult, COTR supported her while she served for three years with a Christian child development program in Kenya. She has spent time on five continents and been fortunate to have taught and ministered in a variety of other intercultural settings and Christian ministries. She has been involved in programs focused on refugees and immigrants, international students, and missionary kid education. Laura brings this background and several degrees in missions to her role as the missions director at COTR. She loves teaching and is passionate about seeing the Body of Christ participate in God's mission of reconciliation both locally and globally. In her free time, Laura enjoys being out in God's creation with her husband, Austin, and discovering beautiful places to explore with friends and family.
Jen grew up in Chittenden County and came to know the Lord while attending college at UNH. She was very involved in her campus ministry organization. Her other ministry experience includes leading a Grad student Bible study at UVM, serving at a residential program for adults seeking emotional healing, and more recently in another church in the prayer room, on the care team, and as a MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) evening coordinator. Jen enjoys encouraging and building up others and especially enjoys children. She is blessed with three of her own. Jen is currently the Nursery Coordinator and has been in that role since the Fall of 2019. Jen has been an RN at Northwestern Medical Center for over 15 years and resides in Fairfield with her family.
Jef is originally from St. Louis, MO. He studied at the University of Missouri and got his M. Dic. from Eden Theological Seminary. He currently is continuing doctoral studies at Boston University in Liturgy of the Patristic Period, first 3.4 centuries.
He was ordained to Pastoral Ministry in 1982 and has served as Pastor of Pilgrim Church in Elyria, OH from 1982-1988. He then moved to Vermont to serve United Church of Milton, 1988-2021, and retired in January. He now works for COTR as of spring of 2021.
Jeff now lives in Fairfax and is married to Kathleen Berard-Brown who is a nurse at NCSS. They have two children and one granddaughter.
Hobbies of Jeffs are tennis, outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, gardening, rudimentary carpentry. He is an avid reader/writer with a book in progress and has a passion for worship.
