Pastor Michael Oldham grew up in Foxboro Massachusetts and moved to Vermont in 1985. He received his education at Global university -Berean School of the Bible and has been credentialed with the Assemblies of God since 1992. His continuing education is through Northpoint Bible College in Haverhill MA.
He stepped into full time ministry in 2007, as the Youth and Young Adult pastor here at Church of the Rock. Pastor Mike, received his ordination in 2012. In 2014, he accepted the call to the Lead pastor position at Assembly of God Christian center, Vergennes VT.
He returns to Church of the Rock, his home church, as Lead Pastor. Pastor Mike married his high school sweetheart Lisa, September 12, 1987. They have four wonderful children who are successes in their own right, and have blessed their parents with three grandsons and two granddaughters.
When not pastoring his community of believers, PM enjoys hiking, fishing, a good book, playing guitar and simply being with his wife.
Jeff is originally from St. Louis, MO. He studied at the University of Missouri and got his M. Dic. from Eden Theological Seminary. He currently is continuing doctoral studies at Boston University in Liturgy of the Patristic Period, first 3.4 centuries.
He was ordained to Pastoral Ministry in 1982 and has served as Pastor of Pilgrim Church in Elyria, OH from 1982-1988. He then moved to Vermont to serve United Church of Milton, 1988-2021, and retired in January. He now works for COTR as of spring of 2021.
Jeff now lives in Fairfax and is married to Kathleen Berard-Brown who is a nurse at NCSS. They have two children and one granddaughter.
Hobbies of Jeffs are tennis, outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, gardening, rudimentary carpentry. He is an avid reader/writer with a book in progress and has a passion for worship.
Pastor Marty Fredrick grew up in the Chicago suburbs and just recently moved to Vermont. He received a Degree in History and music from Northern Michigan University and a Master's of Spiritual Formation From Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he and his family have lived north of Boston, Massachusetts for Seminary, on Whidbey Island north of Seattle as a Youth Pastor, in Boca Raton, Florida, and back to Chicago both as a Worship Pastor. God has taken them many places, but they are so excited to be here in Saint Albans, Vermont!
Pastor Marty has toured professionally on drums, recorded numerous albums with his blues band and with other groups (just ask if you'd like to hear!). He also has a massive heart for missions and has led many local, national, and international mission trips with students and adults.
He and his wife, Kaylynn were married in 2009, and they have four amazing children. As a family, they love to play games, watch movies, eat creemees, and explore outdoors. Their kids love things like Scouting, Fortnite, and laughing together.
When not hanging with the Youth or leading Worship, Pastor Marty is probably spending time with his wife and kids, brewing specialty coffee, cheering for the Chicago Bears, Bulls, White Sox, and Blackhawks, hiking, camping, and backpacking, or playing drums.
God gave Lisa Marie a passion for cultures, communities, and countries when she was a teenager. She obtained a degree in Deaf Studies and has served the Deaf as a church interpreter for several decades. Lisa Marie and her husband Scott lived in France for a few years where they learned to speak French. Lisa Marie is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and is involved with ministry to immigrants, refugees, international students with Chi Alpha, and the Deaf in Vermont. She loves ministering and sharing God’s heart for all people. Lisa Marie and her husband Scott have five children and enjoy living life together not far from where they first met.
